Organization of first days of school 2021-2022

  • First days of school in person:


­Elementary school CE2, CM1, CM2, middle school and high school (grade 3- grade 12): Thursday September 2nd at 8:20AM
­

School bus and canteen will be operational since September 2nd.
­

CE2, CM1 et CM2 (grades 3-5) :
8h20 :
Students are welcomed at the elementary school playground. Students will line up in front of their class list, where their names are displayed, before going to class with their teacher.
15h30 : End of the day
­

We strongly recommend that new parents accompany their children to school on the first day, using their own transport way, although they may not be able to enter the school and will have to leave their child at the gate.

Middle school and high school (grades 6- 12) :
8h30 : Students are called in middle school playground
8h30-10h30 : head teachers greet students.
10h30 : Lessons start referring to their time schedule

15h30 : End of the day
Each student’s time schedule will be sent by E-mail to their parents on September 1st

The textbooks will be distributed by Vie Scolaire and library from September 6th.
Please bring back your books borrowed from library if any.

Maternelle MS, GS (Preschool K2 children born in 2017, and K3 children born in 2016): Friday September 3rd at 9:00

CP, CE1 (grades 1-2) :
8h20 :
The classes’ lists are displayed in front of the gate. Each student will receive a badge (allowing to be identified) before entering to school without their parents.
Students are welcomed at the elementary school playground. They will line up in front of their class list, where their names are displayed, before going to class with their teacher.

We strongly recommend that new parents accompany their children to school on the first day, using their own transport way, although they may not be able to enter the school and will have to leave their child at the gate.

Please note that all new kindergarten students must undergo a medical examination before attending to LFIP. The results of this examination should be sent to the nursery: infirmerie@lfip.net.cn

MS and GS Maternelle (Preschool K2 children born in 2017, and K3 children born in 2016): 9:00 AM

: Students will be welcomed by their teacher in front of the gate, where the parents can find classes’ lists. Each student will receive a badge.

3:15PM: End of the day, the children who do not take school bus will be escorted to the gate.

PS and TPS (Preschool K1 children born in 2018, and K0 children born before April 30th 2019) : Monday Septembre 6th at 9:00AM

TPS students:
During first 2 weeks of probationary period, can only attend the school in the morning. Parents should pick up their child at 11.45am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 11.30am on Wednesdays.
during these 2 weeks, TPS students have no access to school bus, neither to canteen.

Pupils absent at the beginning of the school year

No distance learning will be offered to absent students, including during their period of confinement (3 weeks of centralized confinement + one week of observation at home, according to the actual regulations in force). The same, there will be no access to Pronote for middle/high school students.

  • Textbooks, School Supplies and Literary Works:

Textbooks and notebooks are provided by the school.
Parents should purchase the following items themselves:

  • Elementary school:
    Transparent plastic rolls to cover books
  • Middle school: Supplies not available in China are provided by the school. Each teacher will communicate at the beginning of the school year the supplementary supplies to be provided by the parents.
    The common supplies to prepare by parents are:
    1/ transparent plastic rolls to cover books 2/ key lock for the locker (no code lock) 3/ student agenda 4/ a calculator: model “Casio collège” or “TI collège” recommended.
  • High school: Supplies not available in China are provided by the school. Each teacher will communicate at the beginning of the school year the supplementary supplies to be provided by the parents.
    The common supplies to prepare by parents are:
    1/ transparent plastic rolls to cover books 2/ key lock for the locker (no code lock) 3/ student agenda 4 / Texas Instrument calculator: TI-82 advanced with built-in exam mode OR TI-83 premium CE python edition OR Numwork graphing calculator
  • School bus registration

    Registration for the transport service is via the Transport module of the EDUKA parents’ portal. Pupils registered in 2020-21 will automatically be re-enrolled on the same line.

You will find information on fares, routes and timetables in the Transport module. (Please note that the information provided on the website is currently being updated).

For re-registrations or new registrations, using the attached tutorial, we invite you to

– log in for each child
– check the line and the stop (re-registrations)
– proceed with the registration or modifications

Entries must be validated by Sunday 22/08/2021 at the latest.

  • Registration for the catering service :

Till Friday September 10th, all pupils (except preschool K0 TPS students) will automatically take lunch at school. A message will be sent at the beginning of the school year with details of how to make changes.

 

  • Organization of after school activities (ACS):

Registration is likely to open on return from the National Day holidays, health protocol permitting.

  • Telephone reception for administrative services from Monday 23 August 2021

Please note that telephone reception will be disrupted on Wednesday 1 September, due to meetings to prepare for the new school year.
