Dear Parents,

In order for your child to be able to attend LFIP from Thursday, September 2, 2021, it is necessary to respect a certain number of obligations imposed by the Beijing educational authorities. There are several situations depending on the trips your child has done between Saturday, July 3, 2021 and the start of classes.

There are four different situations on the first day of school in order to access LFIP

Situation 1

Your child stayed in the Beijing municipal area between Saturday, July 3, 2021 and the start of school. He/she will be able to go back to school if you provide the following 4 documents:

1) On the first day of school, when boarding the school bus or at the door of the school, your child will have to provide a paper copy of the twice-daily temperature record sheet taken during the 14 days preceding the start of school. You will find this form to be printed in attachment.

2) On the first day of school, when boarding the school bus or at the door of the school, your child will also have to provide the daily temperature record form in paper format. You will find this form to print in the attachment.

3) On the first day of school, your child will have to show the green arrow of the WeChat mini-program with his/her cell phone to prove that he/she has not recently been in a medium or high risk area.

4) On the first day of school, when boarding the school bus or at the school gate, your child must present the Beijing Healthkit mini-program page with his/her cell phone or in paper format if he/she does not have a phone.

If your child does not have a cell phone, he/she will need to provide a printout of this same arrow from one of his/her parents as well as a printout of a screen shot of the Beijing mini program.

Situation 2

If your child has traveled during the summer to a low-risk area in China or has been abroad and has completed the mandatory 21-day quarantine upon return to China, he/she will be allowed to come to LFIP only if he/she has been present for at least 14 days in the Beijing municipality.

He/she can to come to LFIP for back to school if you provide the following 5 documents:

1) A PCR test less than 48 hours old must be uploaded to your child’s Eduka profile.

If your child is enrolled in kindergarten, the day before your child starts school, you must upload a negative PCR test result from one of your child’s two legal guardians that is less than 48 hours old onto your EDUKA profile. You must upload the negative PCR test result before 6pm, the day before your child starts school, so that we can process the information in the evening and inform the school transport staff or the reception staff at the school the next morning. In order to avoid errors, as we expect a very large number of results, no PCR test results received by email will be processed by the health department.

Situation 3

If your child has not been present for at least 14 days in the Pekin municipality on the day he/she starts school, he/she must wait until he/she has completed the 14-day school absence period before coming to LFIP. Once the 14-day school absence period is over, your child will be placed in situation B.

Situation 4

Your child has traveled to China during the summer in a medium or high risk area for covid-19. You must immediately inform your neighborhood committee and inform the LFIP health department. The procedure for returning to the school will then be determined by the educational and health authorities in Beijing.

The entry in the school on the first day of the school year is conditional to the respect of all these measures.

What are the rules to follow every day after school starts in order to enter LFIP?

After school starts, each day, when boarding the school bus or at the door of the school, your child will have to provide the daily temperature record sheet in paper format, taken that day. You will find this form to be printed in attachment.

After school starts, each day, when boarding the school bus or at the school gate, your child will have to present the Beijing Healthkit mini-program page with his/her cell phone or in paper format if he/she does not have a phone.

If your child has a temperature of 37.2 or higher upon entering the school or during the school day, the LFIP Health Department will contact you immediately. Your child’s temperature will be taken a second time during the day, every day before lunch in the school restaurant.

Wearing a surgical mask on campus is mandatory both inside and outside the buildings. Your child must bring a spare mask each day.
